The Importance of Fire Doors

One of our major clients recently had an incident which , we believe , perfectly demonstrates the need for well fitted & well maintained fire doors & compartmentation .

In this particular case , whilst a major incident in itself , a whole more serious event was avoided by the effectiveness of the fire protection measures , the swift actions of staff & response of fire professionals . There was virtually no evidence of the event outside the immediate vicinity & the remainder of the ward ( even adjoining rooms ) continued in operation as normal .
